Sandboxels

Sandboxels FAQ

Short answers for players and for people comparing falling-sand simulators.

Is this the official Sandboxels?

No. This is an independent material sandbox built around a realistic Sandboxels-style experience.

Is Sandboxels free?

Yes. The game is free to play in the browser.

Can I play Sandboxels in fullscreen?

Use your browser fullscreen mode for a larger canvas. The game layout also keeps the playable area first on desktop and mobile.

Does Sandboxels work on phones?

Yes. Mobile play works best with smaller brush sizes and fewer high-energy materials.

What should I do if Sandboxels is laggy?

Lower the brush size, clear heavy scenes, avoid filling the canvas with fire or gases, and reload after exporting any scene you want to keep.

What does Sandboxels server status mean here?

The simulation runs in your browser after the page loads, so there is no live gameplay server. If the page will not load, check your network or try again later.

Does the game work offline?

The static site can be cached by the browser after a visit, and saves are stored locally.

How many materials are included?

This version includes 85 playable materials grouped into Sandboxels-style categories such as liquids, powders, gases, food, machines, weapons, and special elements.

Can I share a scene?

Yes. Export a JSON scene file or download a PNG screenshot from the toolbar.

Trust note

This site is an independent sandbox game experience. It uses the Sandboxels keyword as a game-site name and search term, not as an official relationship claim.
